We are Laura and Sarah – two sisters in our 20s. While we’ve moved around the South quite a bit, we call the Bluegrass our home. We approach life with a sense of humor and try not to take ourselves too seriously. Our hope is that Kindly Kentucky is a space where we can share pieces of the things we love within a real life context.
Hello! I’m Laura – the older sister. I’m a new wife to Jay and a dog-mom to a rollicking golden mutt, Annabelle. My mom will tell you that I’ll probably never leave school; I’ve worked several different roles within the realm of education and now work in academic administration at my alma mater, the University of Kentucky (Go Cats!). On the weekends, you can find me biking through the back roads of Central Kentucky or checking out the latest restaurant in Lexington’s emerging culinary scene.
Hi, there. I’m Sarah, the younger and markedly sassier sister. I am a recent alumna of WKU and a new resident of Lousiville, KY. In my year that I’ve lived in Louisville, I have completed my MBA and now work for a large corporation located downtown. At the end of the day, I love to trade out my corporate high heels for some funky kicks for a night out in the city or a walk around Old Louisville with my newly adopted pooch, Lou.
